A Slight Kick In The Face

Tonight on my way home I had a lady offer me her seat on the subway because she thought I was pregnant, blah.

I’m feeling very down right now.  I want to stuff my face with food … but I won’t.

Oh damn. Rude lady.

That sucks, really. People really need to understand that you don't ask that question unless the lady is wearing a shirt that says "knocked up" Don't let a person's rudeness get you down. I think you are looking great and doing a fantastic job. Take care.

Look in the mirror and now that it's true..the beauty you see reflecting is YOU!

Crystal this post tears me apart. You are beautiful, you are strong, you have accomplished so much, don't let an idiot get you down!

When I saw the above sentence on a note on the operation beautiful site I knew that it would maybe put a smile on your face.

SMile you are beautiful!

Oh that hurts. I had lost 12 kg when we went to a theme park and i was asked before i got on a ride if i was pregnant (i was about 158 pounds!!) i was so so upset... but try not to let it get you down.. just think of sticking it to that lady at your next weigh in.

I'm a new reader, don't think i have commented, but you are doing so so well....
Take care : ) visit operationbeautiful.com if you need some perking up : )

Coming out of lurking to comment.

Been there, done that and it sucks.

My pregnant friends complain that people don't give them their seats on transit and this is why! I won't give up my seat unless I'm absolutly certain that someone is pregnant. I don't want to offrnd someone.

Since when is being pregnant an insult?

Were you wearing a babydoll shirt because they make everyone look pregnant? I think I am pregnant when I wear them.

This is why I am totally not offering my seat to anyone I think is pregnant unless they are 9 months and ready to give birth. It is not an insult if someone offers you a seat.

I am 100% with Syl. You are beautiful and some people just don't know what's appropriate and what isn't.

Hugs.

That happened to me earlier this year and I felt myself turn red...and i'm not light skinned person, but i'm pretty sure I was the colour of the subway seats. When I got off the subway, I saw a reflection of myself, with my coat on and didn't blame the lady for trying to be nice and offer me the seat, but yes it was embarrassing.

Crystal, at least you know you're doing something about it. Chin up girl, it will only get better from here. :-)

I've been there, girl, I know exactly how you feel.
People are stupid. Really. Don't eat because of this, though. Go punch a pillow or something.
YOU know you're taking care of business, and that mistake won't happen again. Unless you run into another stupid person, which is very, very possible!
